Every calculator on this site applies a published average to one animal. An average tells you where most dogs or cats land. It does not tell you where yours will.

A puppy can finish well outside the range the weight calculator gives. A litter can arrive outside the due window. A heat cycle can start months from the predicted date. A groom can cost more or less than any national range. None of that means the tool is broken; it means it is an estimate, which is what we say on every page.

Use the results for planning. Do not use them to make a decision that needs certainty.

Nothing on this site is veterinary advice, and no vet has reviewed it. We give no medication doses and no treatment guidance of any kind.

If you have a question about your animal's health, weight, feeding, pregnancy, birth or heat cycle, ask a vet who can examine the animal. If something seems wrong with your animal, do that today rather than reading another page here.

We take care with the figures. Each one is traced to a published source named on the page that uses it, and where we have had to estimate something ourselves we label it. The method is set out on the how we calculate page.

Even so, published sources can be wrong, can be updated after we read them, and can disagree with each other. We make no guarantee that every figure is correct or current. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

The site is provided as it is, free of charge, without any warranty. To the fullest extent the law allows, Zooming Paws is not liable for any loss or harm arising from relying on anything published here.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

You are welcome to use the calculators as much as you like, for yourself or for the animals in your care, including in a professional setting.

The words, charts, data files and code on this site belong to Zooming Paws. Please do not copy them wholesale onto another site. Quoting a figure with a link back is fine and welcome.

The published research and breed standards we draw on belong to their own authors and publishers, and each is credited with a link on the page that uses it.

There are no paid or affiliate links on the site today. If any are added, each one will carry a visible label saying we may earn a commission, and the link will be marked as sponsored. We will not disguise a paid placement as a recommendation.
