Siberian Husky Price in India (2026)

A Siberian Husky puppy in India costs about ₹20,000 to ₹40,000 from an unregistered home breeder and ₹50,000 to ₹1,20,000 from a KCI-registered one, with show-quality and imported lines running to ₹1,50,000 and beyond. The purchase price is the smaller problem: this is an Arctic breed with a double coat, and every source we read says it needs air conditioning through the Indian summer.

₹50,000 to ₹1,20,000

The range our sources give for a KCI-registered Siberian Husky.

Supertails puts a KCI-registered Husky from a reputable breeder at ₹50,000 to ₹95,000. Inside Scroller puts KCI-registered or show quality at ₹60,000 to ₹1,20,000 and up. Mr n Mrs Pet states ₹50,000 to ₹1,50,000 and up across its listings.

In Delhi NCR

₹20,000 to ₹1,00,000

Delhi NCR is a metro. Across the metro cities our sources name, a Siberian Husky runs ₹20,000 to ₹1,00,000. That is the general market across seller types, not the figure for one seller.

Across the eight metros Inside Scroller lists, from Kolkata at the bottom to Mumbai at the top.

Struggles in Indian heat

Supertails writes that reliable air conditioning from March to October is not optional for a Husky in India, with summers crossing 45°C, and warns against shaving a double coat to cope.

The Siberian Husky was not on the list in the 2024 central advisory, and that advisory no longer stands in any case.

The price

Siberian Husky price by seller type

Who you buy from moves this price more than anything else does. Each row is the range our Indian sources state for that kind of seller, with the sources named in the notes column.

Where fromPrice in ₹What the sources say
Unregistered home breeder₹20,000 to ₹40,000Supertails prices an unregistered or backyard-bred Husky at ₹20,000 to ₹40,000. Inside Scroller warns that anything under ₹15,000 is a sign of a puppy mill rather than a bargain.
KCI-registered breeder₹50,000 to ₹1,20,000Supertails puts a KCI-registered Husky from a reputable breeder at ₹50,000 to ₹95,000. Inside Scroller puts KCI-registered or show quality at ₹60,000 to ₹1,20,000 and up. Mr n Mrs Pet states ₹50,000 to ₹1,50,000 and up across its listings.
Show quality₹80,000 to ₹1,50,000 and upA champion bloodline. A pure white coat or bi-coloured eyes add ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 on top, on the same source.
Pet shopNot priced by breedNo source we found prices a pet-shop puppy breed by breed. One Indian source puts a breed puppy from a pet shop at ₹15,000 to ₹50,000 across all breeds.
Breed rescue₹10,000 to ₹25,000A breed rescue fee, which is higher than a shelter fee for an indie dog. Huskies are surrendered often in India, so rescues have them.

Variation

What changes a Siberian Husky's price

Coat colour moves the price more in this breed than in most. Supertails prices a black and white Husky at ₹50,000 to ₹90,000 and a pure white one at ₹70,000 to ₹1,30,000, and puts a ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 premium on blue or bi-coloured eyes. None of that has anything to do with health or temperament.

KCI papers are the other big step. The gap between an unregistered litter and a registered one is roughly ₹30,000 on our sources, and what you are paying for is a traceable pedigree and parents who were microchipped and registered before the litter was born.

Females are priced ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 above males on Inside Scroller, on breeding potential.

City matters less than seller type here. The spread between the cheapest and dearest metro on Inside Scroller is about ₹25,000, while the spread between an unregistered and a registered litter is larger than that.

What does not change it

No source we read prices a Siberian Husky by age, so the calculator on this page has no age input. A puppy is priced as a puppy and an older dog is usually a rescue rather than a sale. Sex does change the price in this breed, and the figure above is what a source states for it.

Running cost

What a Siberian Husky costs to keep

The calculator at the top of this page adds these up for you. The puppy price is not in the total: this is what the first year of keeping the dog costs on top of buying it.

Food₹3,000 to ₹6,000 a monthBoth sources give the same band for a large, high-protein diet.
Grooming₹1,200 to ₹2,500 a sessionEvery 6 to 8 weeks. Supertails instead gives ₹1,500 to ₹3,500 a month, which is the same order of money at this interval.
Puppy vaccinations₹3,000 to ₹8,000The full first-year course.
Starter accessories₹3,000 to ₹13,000Bed, crate, bowls, collar, leash and toys, once.
Cooling₹2,000 to ₹8,000 a monthSupertails gives ₹3,000 to ₹8,000 a month of air conditioning from March to October. Inside Scroller gives ₹2,000 to ₹5,000 of extra electricity. This is not in the first-year total below, because it depends entirely on your house. Not in the calculator total, because it depends on your house rather than your dog.

Food and grooming are this breed's own sourced figures. The other lines are the same for any dog and are sourced on the price calculator page.

Not in the figure

  • Spaying or neutering: about ₹1,500 to ₹5,000 at a shelter or a subsidised clinic, and ₹6,000 to ₹25,000 privately, more for a big dog.
  • Training classes: about ₹5,000 to ₹30,000 for a first course, and far more for a guarding breed.
  • Air conditioning: a real cost for a thick-coated breed in the plains, which our sources price per breed rather than generally.
  • Anything that goes wrong: one night in intensive care runs ₹12,000 to ₹25,000 and a cruciate repair ₹1.2 to ₹1.8 lakh.

The same growth engine drives our puppy weight calculator, which works in pounds. For a dog in the large size class, weekly weight gain drops to almost nothing by about 11 months. Height finishes earlier than weight: this breed stands 51 cm to 60 cm at the shoulder when grown.

Indian climate

Struggles in Indian heat

Supertails writes that reliable air conditioning from March to October is not optional for a Husky in India, with summers crossing 45°C, and warns against shaving a double coat to cope.

This is the breed where Indian climate is the whole question. A Husky was bred to work in the Arctic and carries a dense double coat that it cannot take off. Supertails is blunt about it: air conditioning from March to October is a requirement, not a comfort, in most of the country.

The cooling bill is real money and it is not in the first-year figure on this page, because it depends on your house rather than your dog. Our two sources put it at ₹2,000 to ₹8,000 a month through the hot season.

Do not shave the coat. Supertails warns against it: the double coat insulates against heat as well as cold, and shaving it removes the dog’s own protection and can damage the regrowth permanently.

Walk early and late. A Husky needs a lot of exercise and the hours when it can safely get it in an Indian summer are narrow.

Legal

The Siberian Husky was not on the list in the 2024 central advisory, and that advisory no longer stands in any case.

Buying

How to buy a Siberian Husky responsibly

Huskies are among the most commonly surrendered breeds in India, which is the honest context for buying one. A breed rescue will have adults, at ₹10,000 to ₹25,000 on Supertails, and an adult Husky tells you what you are getting in a way a puppy cannot.

Ask to see the parents in the house they live in. A breeder keeping Arctic dogs in Chennai without cooling is telling you something about how the puppies were raised.

The checks that apply to any puppy

  • See both parents, in the place they live. A puppy mill cannot offer you that, which is what makes it the most useful question you can ask.
  • Ask for the vaccination and deworming record with dates and what was given. The full first-year course runs ₹3,000 to ₹8,000 on our sources.
  • Check the KCI papers if you are paying for them. Both parents must be KCI-registered and carry KCI-approved microchips for a litter to be registrable, and the breeder must file within 90 days of the birth. Papers record parentage, not health.
  • Avoid a pet shop if you can. Supertails writes that many Indian pet shops source from puppy mills, and advises anyone who does buy from one to insist on the vaccination records and see a vet within 48 hours.
  • Consider a rescue. A Siberian Husky rescue charges ₹10,000 to ₹25,000 on our sources, and the dogs are usually adults, which tells you what you are getting.

FAQ

Siberian Husky prices: the questions people ask

Why is a Husky so expensive in India compared with a Labrador?
Supply. Labradors have been bred in India for decades and there are litters in every city, while Huskies are a newer, more fashionable import with fewer breeding lines. On our sources a KCI-registered Husky starts around ₹50,000 against ₹25,000 for a Labrador, and the gap is about scarcity and fashion rather than anything about the dogs.
Can a Husky live in India without air conditioning?
Supertails says no for most of the country, calling cooling from March to October a requirement rather than a comfort. The hill stations are a different question from the plains. We are not going to tell you it is fine, because our sources do not.
What is a fair price for a Husky puppy with blue eyes?
Supertails puts the premium for blue or bi-coloured eyes at ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 over the ordinary price for that seller type. Eye colour is cosmetic and carries no health benefit, so whether it is worth paying for is a matter of taste rather than quality.
How much does a Husky cost to keep each month in India?
Our sources put food at ₹3,000 to ₹6,000 and grooming at ₹1,200 to ₹2,500 every six to eight weeks, and cooling adds ₹2,000 to ₹8,000 a month in the hot season. Inside Scroller and Supertails both put the all-in monthly figure between about ₹8,000 and ₹20,000.
Is a Husky under ₹15,000 ever genuine?
Inside Scroller says a price that low is a warning sign rather than a bargain, and names puppy mills and unhealthy breeding as the usual reason. A Husky-looking puppy at that price is also quite often not a Husky.
How big does a Siberian Husky get in kg?
15.9 to 27.2 kg as an adult, on the American Kennel Club standard, which states it as 45-60 pounds (male), 35-50 pounds (female). Height at the shoulder is 51 to 60 cm. Most of the weight gain is done by about 11 months for a dog in the large size class.

India’s own breeds

Native alternatives of about this size

A Siberian Husky runs 15.9 to 27.2 kg on the American Kennel Club standard. Two native breeds of about that size, with the weight our sources actually measured, and the thing that usually decides it in India: whether the dog needs cooling.

This is not a claim that a native breed is the better dog. It is a claim that it is usually the invisible option: nobody advertises it, so nobody considers it. On climate there is something to choose: our sources say the Siberian Husky struggles in Indian heat, and say the opposite of the breeds above.

Put any two of them side by side in the comparison tool, or see all fifteen native breeds, measured and unmeasured, on the breeds pages.
